Q: What has happened? A: Today Microsoft has announced their net profit for the first calendar quarter of 2011. Their net profit was $5.23 billion. Q: So? A: Well, that is $760 million dollars less than Apple's $5.99 billion net profit over the same period.  It is the first time that Apple has surpassed Microsofts profit. Q: Wauw! But...we knew this already or not? A: For those keeping track, first Apple has surpassed Microsoft in market capitalization. And that is not real money, it is just a number wnext could get in your pocket. A profit number is real money what you have in your pocket! I think greater profit finally justifies the greater market capitilization. Apple earns profit from the sales of the iPhone GS and iPhone 4, iPad 1 and 2. iPods, Apple TV 2, Apps, iTunes music and video and the complete Mac OS hardware and Software products iMac, Macbook Air, Macbook pro etc. While Microsoft is into the software licenses. Quotes from fellow bloggers you may interested in are:
