iPhone TIPS: How to Transfer Apps from iPhone to iTunes? Posted: 15 Jun 2010 01:49 PM PDT Q: I just bought a new Mac. Now I like to transfer the apps on my iPhone to my new Mac. How can I do that? A: If you want to transfer all iTunes Store purchases from an iPhone (or iPad, or iPod) to a computer, be sure to authorize the computer before connecting the device. To authorize, follow these steps: Open iTunes. From the Store menu, choose Authorize Computer. In the dialog that appears, the Apple ID button is selected by default. If you have an AOL account, select AOL. Enter your Apple ID or AOL screen name and password, then click the Authorize button. [iTunes 9.1.1 is used here] After connecting your device to the computer and its icon appears in iTunes, you can choose Transfer Purchases from "Your device name" from the File menu.
