HP brings Artist Edition DV6 Pavilion Notebooks Posted: 01 Sep 2009 11:55 AM PDT
Coming up with new designs is a new trend to attract customers for purchasing notebooks. Similar to Dell Artist edition Designer Series laptops, HP introduces Pavilion DV6 Artist edition 2 notebooks mainly to grab attention of Youths looking for some innovative snd new striking designs. Accompanying the HP Pavilion, it comes with MediaSmart software, which allows TV recording, video editing plus an image editing program from Corel and Magix Music Maker, an application that allows us to have a music studio on your computer. Only disappointing thing about it is its price which is as high as $899.99, its not something what can be paid for designer series when one can make somewhat similar using vinyl adhesive stickers available at local stores and change whenever they want to. Find and Remove leftover DLLs with DLL Archive Posted: 01 Sep 2009 11:10 AM PDT DLL Archive is an application that will allow us to scan our system for DLLs that have remained after removing the installed applications, taking up space and resulting to slower system. What DLL Archive will do for us is to scan the Windows folder and identify all the DLLs and their applications to determine those that are “orphans“, which is like the garbage to those who have remained after uninstalling the application. Those who do not fulfill any test and doesn’t have any relation to any program will be marked and have the option to remove temporary or permanently, if we are more conservative-safekeeping in case a problem arises, so we can restore them with one click. DLL Archive is compatible with Windows 7, Vista, XP and earlier, is freeware and its download is only 345 KB Related : Free Windows Cleanup Utilities You may also like to read |
Test the speed of LAN connection Posted: 31 Aug 2009 11:57 PM PDT With the tools that we have today, creating LAN is very easy. A LAN is a network that are connected to a different number of computers, so you can share folders, printers and connect to the Internet. LAN speed test is free and compatible with all Microsoft operating systems, including Windows 7, also does not require installation, so it’s good to keep in the collection of our programs on pendrive. Once initiated LAN Speed Test will display name and IP address associated with the PC. To start the test, click on “Start” button and select a folder within a top computer connected to the network, then select the file size in megabytes, and press “OK” to start the test. At this point it begins to transfer the file to the target location, at the end displays the results obtained or show the speed in reading and writing files, and network speed in Bytes, Bits and MB per second. So pressing the button “print results” we can print the results. Random Posts |
